Ethical Use of Al in Clinical Practice Documentation, Disclosure, and Defensible Ethics Decisions
Al scribes, note generators, and clinical decision-support tools are now in everyday use, often without clear ethical guidance from licensing boards. This workshop addresses the questions clinicians are actually asking: Do I need to tell clients I'm using an Al scribe? What HIPAA exposure am I creating? If an Al tool flags something l missed, am I more liable if I ignored it?
We'll work through current ethics and state board guidance, examine disciplinary cases involving technology missteps, and build a personal protocol for ethical Al integration. The goal is defensible practice. Decisions you can explain to a board, an attorney, or a client.
