IN WORKING WITH MILITARY & VETERAN POPULATIONS
This two-hour continuing education workshop equips licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals with ethical decision-making tools tailored to military and veteran populations. Participants will examine military-specific ethical challenges-such as confidentiality, dual relationships, and command influence-while applying structured decision-making models to real-world case scenarios. The training also highlights key referral resources including VA, TRICARE, and community support to strengthen continuity of care. Finally, clinicians will develop practical self-care and resilience strategies to mitigate compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary trauma when working with high-stress caseload.
